As if bumble bees weren't deadly enough, mother nature kindly decides to throw a new species of snake at us humans. According to National Geographic, Africa's Naja ahsei (translation: death-eater extraordinaire) is not only the world's newest species of snake but is also the largest spitting cobra. This inhabitant of Kenya, Uganda, and Ethiopia is described as "extremely aggressive" and can grow up to nine feet in length and probably has the girth of a 300-year old tree trunk. Due to its grandour, and blood and tissue samples, this creature is in a group of its own...perhaps in the upper echelons of the snake world.
